Measure the specific order and strength of your cognitive functions.

Your free result identifies function order and form classification. The full report adds an individual strength measurement for all eight cognitive functions, then connects the data to leadership, communication, thinking, decision-making, operations, and role contribution.

Eight cognitive functions, one individual profile

We each use all eight functions in a structured order from position 1-8. The combination of position and strength can be used to determine cognitive behaviours and predicable patterns.

four Input functions: how you take information in

Abstract Input

Convergent Ni

Internal

Converges many signals into a single line of insight. Sees where things are heading and what they ultimately mean.

Tangible Input

Reference Si

Internal

References stored detail and precedent. Compares the present against a precise record of what has been before.

Abstract Input

Divergent Ne

External

Diverges outward into possibility. Generates ideas, connections, and what-ifs from whatever is in front of it.

Tangible Input

Presence Se

External

Takes in the concrete present through the senses. Reads the live situation and acts on what is actually here.

Four Output Functions: how you act on that information

Reason Output

Analysis Ti

Internal

Builds internal frameworks of logic and principle. Asks whether a thing is sound, consistent, and true on its own terms.

Emotion Output

Melody Fi

Internal

Weighs against an inner sense of value and integrity. Asks whether a thing is right, authentic, and worth standing for.

Reason Output

Operation Te

External

Organises the outer world toward results. Measures, sequences, and executes to make things work efficiently.

Emotion Output

Harmony Fe

External

Reads and tends the emotional field between people. Seeks belonging, connection, and shared accord.

How your profile is measured

Cognitive processes are not always easy to identify through self-observation alone. Formaeics is designed to map the relative order of all eight functions, identify the form that best fits that pattern, and measure the relative strength of each function for the Cognitive Function Report.

The assessment uses forced-choice word pairs to compare function preferences, followed by a dedicated strength assessment that evaluates each function relative to the others. The result is a structured profile of all eight functions, their estimated order, and their measured strength.

A professional capability profile

Move from a broad classification to specific, usable capability data.

Order shows which functions are likely to be accessed first. Strength shows how available each function is in practice. The report combines both measurements so you can make better decisions about role fit, communication, execution, and professional development.

  1. 01Compare your function order with the measured strength of each capability.
  2. 02Identify the functions you can rely on consistently in demanding work.
  3. 03See where a lower score may create a predictable communication or execution constraint.
  4. 04Translate a complex cognitive profile into clear professional implications.
  5. 05Use form classification as context without letting it replace the underlying measurements.
  6. 06Choose development priorities based on the demands of your role and working environment.

What the full report contains

Function order and strength

See all eight cognitive functions in numbered order, with an individual measured strength score and band for each one.

Eight position profiles

Understand what each function does, how it contributes at its position, how it commonly presents, and what to monitor under pressure.

Professional applications

Apply your function data to leadership, decision-making, communication, thinking, problem-solving, operations, and execution.

Role contribution context

Use your measured profile to identify reliable capabilities, development priorities, and the working conditions in which you can contribute effectively.
